Cascade Dafo is able to accept all .stl files and Vorum .ssn file formats. Most scanning systems have the ability to save out a file in .stl format.

We request one of the following scan types:
1. Scan of a plaster (or foam) positive
2. Scan of the inside of the cast (scan inversion where cast is cut, both interior halves scanned, and then digitally stitched together)
3. Scan of the child/patient’s actual foot/ankle/calf

When processing the scan, please cut any interference or unnecessary data before sending the file. Please retain your original shape until we review the file and enter your order into our production system. Please do not digitally modify the image before you send it—just provide us detailed instructions on your order form.

During the casting process, insure a tight fit at the met heads (feather or cut the footplates if necessary for a snug fit) and capture the surface anatomy as clearly as possible.
